There are many tools like a keyword Research Tool ,that really help your blog progress steadily online from good SEO to paid advertising, but the one tool or better still skill that can really help your blog grow is keyword analysis.
What is keyword analysis? what is a keyword Research Tool, Why are they so important?
Well I want to explain this as simply as I can because I know many of my readers are new to blogging and to the many tools that go with it.
So, apologies to those of you that are advanced bloggers reading this but we all have to start at the beginning right?
It can quite daunting when you start your first blog/website so learning the basics should be done at your own pace in a way you can understand without getting overwhelmed.
The techy advanced stuff can come much later once your foundation has been established and your ready to move on.
Ok enough rambling on…so Keyword research and why it’s an important part of your skill set.
Keywords are one of the most essential parts of any blog or website because they drive organic targeted traffic to your articles or posts, for free!
Keywords are words or phrases (often known as long tail keywords) that people type into search engines like google or bing to find websites with information that matches what they are looking for.
So, for instance if you have a website all about detoxing with an article containing the keyword “BEST DETOX DRINK” and someone types into the search engine what is the BEST DETOX DRINK, the search engine will crawl through millions of pages of content and will find websites with this keyword.
There are many other contributing factors that get your content higher up the search engine rankings but that is for another article, today we are just focusing on what a keyword is.
So now we know what a keyword is and does, how do I know if many people are searching for that keyword…well I’m glad you asked 😊.
This is where a keyword research tool comes into play, a keyword research tool will tell you how many people are searching the internet on a monthly basis for any specific keyword you type in.
Let me tell you now this tool is priceless if you want to get good targeted traffic to your website or blogg.
What is the best keyword Research Tool?
The two I use and recommend are
Google adwords which is a free tool.
Long Tail Pro which is a paid tool but, in my opinion, much better at finding those great hidden keywords, really worth a look and they have a $1 free trial special at the moment a no brainer really.
Let me explain why a keyword tool is such an important asset to have.
If you type in our keyword “BEST DETOX DRINK” in the keyword tool you will get quite a lot of data, but what we are looking for today is how many people are searching for our keyword?
This is so important because common sense will tell us that if it is getting hardly any searches then we cannot expect to get much free traffic from the search engines to our blog or website.
The more searched the better chance we have of getting organic traffic, I always like to see about 1k to 10k monthly views, then I know I’m on the right track.
A quick tip! Before you start any article do your keyword research first, find out what keywords people are searching for then create you post around that winning keyword!
Now I have found a great video by one of the masters of keyword research and website SEO Neil Patel it really is very helpful….Happy blogging.
